BE SURE TO MENTION THE TITLE OF YOUR BOOK AT THE BEGINNING OF YOUR POST, SINCE STUDENTS WILL BE POSTING ABOUT MANY DIFFERENT BOOKS ON THIS BLOG
Be sure to follow the guidelines:
- 10 lines/sentences long
- Include a variety of your ideas: opinions, connections (text->self, text->world, text->text), predictions, questions, inferences, notes about the author's style and intention, etc.
- Show your best Level 3 "treasure" thinking that explains your ideas (use the word "because...") and uses evidence from the text
- At the start of every post, say something to recognize and acknowledge the people who have written before you

how is scorpion? because people say in scorpion that someone has to sell crack cocaine to save their mom or something but it seems confusing because why sell crack when you can just get a job to save her?
ReplyDeleteMy book is Staying Fat For Sarah Byrnes, and this book is kinda like an only child book because theres one kid and he is their only child so you know what that means he is spoiled. His mom and dad have seperated so he is by himself with his mom. So his mom says he gets what he wants because he is the only child.my opinion is that if I was him then I would wanna know what I would want. So what does he want he should know.

ReplyDeleteI am reading "The Big Empty" by J.B. Stephens. This book is about a town in L.A, which got struck by a virus that killed millions, Strain 7. Strain 7 is a respiatory/ breathing system virus. It can take a person out in a week of the first symptoms. In this book, a girl named keely[not k-e-l-l-y] was L.A at the time of Strain 7. Her father, sister and freinds got killed by this horrible epidemic. Now she will go west of Pittsburgh and east of Reno with six of her brave friends.
ReplyDeleteI am reading "The Big Empty" by J.B. Stephens. I wounder, what if the Strain 7 will actully happen. If it does will people with asma not be effected by it.Will it be called something different, our will it be the same as in this very bizzare book. This book has been stirring up my mind and immagination to new levels and tested my thoughts of reality. You should read this book, because it is a great book and you will understand why I love this book.
ReplyDeleteI am reading the book hush. It is really great its about a girl named Toswiah Green. Her father testified his fellow police friend didn't murder someone.thye had to move to a different place and change their names(Toswaiah new name is Eviethomas) She Don't like the town because it has less space at her new house than her old won. The kids at her school is really mean and none of her parents have a job!(not that i know of) So right now she struggling and she don't like it!!:( he father is just sitting at the window thinking that their old town will come back. Evie is having memories and it's not helping at all.she has a sister her nam is Anna she isn't really in the begginning of the book so I don't really know about her!! Her mom use to be a teacher but right now she's a jobles old lady but. This book is a good expirence because it teaches us what could really happen in life!! that's why i love it so much!!
ReplyDeleteSo far on this book hush things haven't been going great. They are the same but Evie saw a girl walk by and thought that it was one of her friends from denver! She came closer and Evie was going to say "hey remember me it's Toswiah Green. We goto the same school!!" When the girl came closer she realize that wasn't the right girl!! They smiled at each other and walked away. The only reason they did this to their family is because Evie's dad inferred that the two teacher murdered a boy and i guess he was wrong so they had to move. probably because of the suspense but its a real good book everyone should read it . I know one thing for sure i love it!!
